I've been a copywriter for 20+ years. I  cut my teeth in the agency world, including CPB+. I was the associate creative director for a public company. So I understand how to identify the big idea that will drive your brand across multiple channels. I've worked with hundred of clients in numerous industries. Can I help you design and execute a powerful marketing strategy that will win brand awareness and get tangible results? Absolutely, yes. 


I write conversion and SEO copy, long-form sales emails, and app microcopy. I know how digital channels work and, most importantly, when they don't work. I can talk to your website developer about UX design, map out a content strategy that will help your website scale, and write content that will push your website to get top rankings for your most important keywords. I know best practices – I earned a certificate in Advanced Internet Marketing from the University of San Francisco (2010) and Hubspot Inbound Certification (2016). For fun, I build WordPress websites (like this one) without a template.  I don't write social media posts, although I could if you put a gun to my head.

I obtained a degree in Sociology from Duke University with heavy emphasis on textual analysis and consumer behavior. My first job was doing ethnographic research among Alaska's remote Aleut populations. My second job took me into the world of advertising, where I discovered the value of data in uncovering consumer segments and motivations. I use research to help companies identify the perceptions and beliefs that drive their brand and customer dynamics. Research can't answer every question facing your brand, but it's a good start.


Your brand voice is your copy style; it is part of your brand identity. Having the right brand voice makes you more relevant and engaging to your market. I help you find your unique brand voice and apply it consistently across your marketing eco-system. I studied best practices in practical branding at Harvard, where I earned top spot in the class for a brand case study on Starbucks. My real-world experience includes branding countries, destinations, national companies, startups and products.

Studies have shown people are much less productive when multitasking. I take on a limited number of projects and focus on them, one at a time. You'll get 100% of my attention till your job is wrapped up and put to bed.  I meet crazy deadlines with a smile (barring a tsunami) and produce on-target work that makes you smile. I have worked with agency and corporate teams around the world using a variety of collaborative software. Or I can coordinate and manage your project with people I know and trust, such as the print and web design consultancy TenDesign.

Factoid: I created a 350-recipe gluten-free and sugar-free cookbook for a charity, including the recipes. It sold out two printings.

I am a Florida-based freelance copywriter who works with clients across the U.S. and globally. My specialty is creating voices for experiential brands and using them consistently across digital and traditional channels. I have been a copywriter for 30 years and have loved (almost) every minute of it.
